Farmers Combat Loggers - The Jungle Patrol in Cambodia
According to the FAO, some 13 million hectares of forest are destroyed every year, primarily in Latin America, Central Africa and Southeast Asia. Deforestation is generally against the law, but illegal logging is a booming industry - especially in Cambodia.
Large-scale tree felling is detrimental to both the ecosystem and the livelihoods of farmers. They are now taking matters into their own hands and have set up a jungle patrol.
